If you are looking for a way to get rid of the smell of smoke in your home or office, then you might be (like I was) confused by the massive range of different models and types. One thing I did learn though was to avoid the ones labelled "HEPA type" as these are really just a poor imitation of the far superior HEPA models. I also discovered that hospitals, pharmaceutical and computer research labs use HEPA for air purification, so HEPA models are sure to get rid of the tiny smike particles and boy, do they! I have the Honeywell 50250 and it does exactly what it says on the tin.

I was tempted to place just the Honeywell model here as it is so good, but you may find that the features of the other air purifiers that I checked out alongside it might be better for your needs.

A good tip is to vacuum the filters every so often, this lengthens the life of them and you can also try washing them - one reviewer uses "Awesome cleaner" in the bath and says that the nicotine pours out!
